Ferncliff Ebony is my pick for a burgundy ball dahlia. It is a bit temperamental to store, but it is a strong bloomer throughout the season. This is a very well-behaved plant, a steady producer, and heat tolerant.

- Grower's Notes: This is a more difficult tuber to store. I recommend upon digging (if you dig and divide each year) dividing quickly. I store in vermiculite at 45*. This dahlia did overwinter well for me here in zone 7B with leaf mulch for protection. Our temps in January were below zero for about a week.
